During my recent New Year's getaway at Fuzei Hotel Lorient-Lanester, I must say, it was a mixed bag. The big rooms provided ample space to stretch out after my morning runs, and the free parking was a nice touch, especially in a tight city like Lanester. The cleaning left much to be desired; the lingering smell in our room meant we had to keep the windows wide open for far too long – not ideal when you're trying to kick off the year refreshed! On a brighter note, the hotel is conveniently located near the Parc des Expositions, making it a perfect hub for exploring the local area or heading out for a run by the sea. I also appreciated the complimentary Wi-Fi, which kept me connected while catching up with friends back in Sydney. If you're traveling with friends and looking for a budget stay without high expectations, this could do the trick, but don’t anticipate any luxurious pampering.
